Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI) is the leading Italian technical university where 40,000 engineers, architects, and designers are educated each year. It is in the worldwide top 10 ranking for Mechanical, Aeronautical & Manufacturing Engineering (QS World University Ranking).
The Department of Mechanical Engineering of POLIMI, and specifically the research group involved in TRICK, has a long-term experience in sustainable manufacturing and industry-oriented circular economy solutions, in distinct manufacturing contexts and material domains. This knowledge has been gathered through the cooperation with different companies at Regional ecosystem level, and at European level. The group coordinates 2 large scale H2020 projects on Circular Economy and participated in more than 15 projects on sustainable manufacturing and circular economy.
In TRICK, Politecnico di Milano with its deep experience in the research in the circular economy domain, takes charge of the Scientific and Quality Management of the project and is actively involved in WP1 - Use Case Requirements; in WP4 - B2B marketplace development and service implementation, for the development of the circular assessment service; in WP5 - Demonstration and pilot implementation; and WP6 - Business model and collaboration management.
